DAY SEVEN

I got off to a bit of a late start this morning leaving around 11:00 am. Grey skies and occasional rain followed me much of the afternoon.
My brother Ken sent me a text just as I was leaving camp to tell me that Willow, my small female cat, had been missing for two days. Ken and Sharon are house sitting for the first ten days of my trip. This has been all I've been thinking about today while driving. To make matters worse, my neighbours' cat disappeared a couple of weeks ago and they think it was eaten by a Fisher. It's so frustrating being away and hearing the news makes me feel so helpless. I suppose I need to just think happy thoughts and wait for news that she's been found.
About 4:00 pm I began looking for signs of local campgrounds as KOA only has one campground in the entire province of New Brunswick and it's nowhere near where I am.
I wasn't seeing any signs so I googled campgrounds in the area and found Sunset View Campground just off the highway on a lovely lake near Frederickton.
Here's a good shot of my new tow mirrors.

This is my campsite with the lake in the background.

As you can see from my pics, the sun did come out and I might even get a spectacular sunset.
I'm not sure where but I must have passed into a different time zone because my computer shows a time an hour later than my watch.
After checking in and setting up I had some free entertainment watching someone trying to back into the space next to me. It must have taken this guy twenty tries to back in with three people hollering directions at him. I even offered to back it in for him but his wife just laughed and said he'd get it eventually, which he did.
I have decent wifi but I also have a great book.
According to the campground owner, there isn't much to see in the area so I will leave in the morning and push on toward Moncton, NB. and beyond.
This campground got it's name from evening views like this one taken from my back steps.

  1. Thinking of Willow and you being away.
🙏 she’s just on a playful adventure while dad’s away on his.
Those clouds are looking like you’ll have a great sunset.
