DAY TWENTY FOUR & TWENTY FIVE
I have been blessed with good weather for most of my trip but the rain began coming down hard the morning I was only a day's drive from home. I had told Brenda, my sitter, that I would not be back until Thursday the 8th so I couldn't very well show up a day early. I crossed back into Canada at the 1000 Islands bridge and again the Canadian border officials were so friendly and just asked where I was from, how long had I been gone and did I purchase anything. Easy peasy. The weather continued to rain on and off for an hour or so. I kept looking for campgrounds but didn't see any. I have to admit that I didn't look too hard. My GPS said I'd be home by 6:00 pm and yet I couldn't go home. I called Jim Burns and asked him how he felt about me "camping" in his driveway.
